When you are worn out after all that relaxing, you might choose a little keep-fit with a few lengths of the pool. Alternatively, Tipi Ronda’s location provides an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating and historic region.
Mocht u meer willen doen dan voor uw tent zitten en van het schitterende uitzicht genieten, dan kunt u vanuit Tipi Ronda verschillende activiteiten ondernemen.
 
Ronda

Ronda is a beautiful and bustling hill-toptown, which can be reach in around 15 minutes. It is steeped in history and culture, has been immortalized by Ernest Hemmingway, and offers a wide variety of museums and restaurants. The oldest bullring in Spain is an architectural masterpiece and the views across the Tajo (gorge) are simply breathtaking. It has character and charme, and was recently listed by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine as one of the top ten ‘must-see places in Europe’. Quite a recommendation.
Het eeuwenoude stadje Ronda ligt op ongeveer 20 minuten afstand van Tipi Ronda. Het is uniek gelegen aan de rand van een indrukwekkende kloof (El Tajo). Bovendien bezit Ronda de oudste stierengevechtarena van Spanje en telt het vele musea. Uiteraard kunt u heerlijk Andalusisch eten en drinken in de sfeervolle restaurants en barretjes die het stadje heeft.
 
Acinipo

Acinipo is an impressive Roman Amphytheatre. Located on the top of the hill-site above us, and at 1.000 meters enjoys spectacular views of the Serriania de Ronda and the Grazalema National Park. Acinipo is within walking distance of you very own Tipi.
Een bezoek aan het imposante Romeinse amfitheater op loopafstand van Tipi Ronda, is een must!
 
Swimming / Zwemmen

Only 15 meters from your own Tipi you will find our 12 meter long pool, awaits you for a refreshing dip or a swimming-workout.
Vanuit uw tent ziet u ons 12 meter lange zwembad al naar u lonken. Heerlijk ter verkoeling maar vanwege zijn lengte ook geschikt voor sportievelingen om de nodige baantjes in af te leggen.
 
Walking / Wandelen

The hills and valleys of Ronda la Vieja provide perfect rambling country, witch you can enjoy by yourselves, or as part of a reasonably-prices guided ‘tour’. We offer 5 specially chosen routes, with hikes varying in lengths from 2 to 4 hours. With a detailed map we can guided you through the prettiest scenery to one of the areas famous Pueblos Blancos (white villages) where you can enjoy local specialties for lunch in an authentic ‘venta’. After a couple of soothing Riojas, you might appreciate organized transport for the return journey!
De heuvels en valleien van Ronda la Vieja zijn een schitterend wandelgebied. U kunt uiteraard de omgeving op eigen houtje verkennen. Om echter de mooiste plekjes te kunnen bezoeken, bieden wij ook vijf verschillende wandeltochten aan voor een redelijke prijs. De tochten variëren in duur van twee tot vier uur. Gewapend met een gedetailleerde kaart wandelt u in de adembenemende omgeving naar één van de beroemde ‘pueblos blancos’. In een authentieke ‘venta’ aldaar luncht u goed en voordelig. Voor vervoer terug naar de Tipi wordt gezorgd.
 
Biking / Fietsen

Bike hire is available in Ronda at a Dutch company called cycleronda, which can advice you numerous beautiful rides in the local area.
In Ronda is het mogelijk om fietsen te huren bij cycleronda. U heeft de keuze uit een mountain bike of hybride fiets en u bepaalt zelf hoe lang u de fiets(en) wilt huren. Deze Nederlandse fietsverhuurder heeft diverse prachtige fietsroutes voor u klaarliggen.
 
Horse riding / Paardrijden

Horse riding allows you to see the environment from an entirely new perspective. There is a riding center close by. Op een paardenrug ziet u Ronda la Vieja vanuit een heel ander perspectief. Dichtbij Tipi Ronda bevindt zich een manege. Onder deskundige begeleiding kunt u een buitenrit maken of een paardrijles nemen.
 
Paragliding / Parapenten

From the flying center located close to the Acinipo, just up the road from Tipi Ronda, if you’re feeling brave, you can enjoy an experience of a life-time by joining the vultures as the circle above the valley. You can take a tandem flight attached to an experienced instructor… we dare you.
Andalusie vanuit de lucht! Samen met een zeer ervaren instructeur maakt u een duovlucht die u niet snel meer zult vergeten.
 
Citytrips

Cities and cultural centres are within easy reach, mostly via excellent and quite roads. The splendid architecture of Seville (with Spanisch largest Cathedral) is less than an hour-and-a-half away. Whilst Cordoba (with its stunning Moorish heart and the astonishing Mezquita) and Granada (with one of Spain’s top attractions, the exquisite Alhambra Palace and great flamengo venues) are around two hours away. Jerez, the home of sherry and equestrian art, is closer, as is the glitz and glamour of Marbella and Puerto Banus (45 kms from Ronda). Cadiz, around an hour-and-a-half away, is an extremly interesting city at the top of the unspoilt coastline which runs down past Tarifa (great beaches and dolphin/whale watching) to the Britisch enclave of Gibraltar. The Grazalema National Park and the gorgeos lake at Zahara de la Sierra are true gems. The village of Grazalema and Zahara are the most beautiful in Andalucia and have UNESCO protected status. The stunning landscapes which
surrounds them is just twenty minutes away, and is not to be missed.
Op ongeveer twee uur van Tipi Ronda liggen bekende Spaanse steden met hun bezienswaardigheden.
Sevilla heeft de grootste kathedraal van Spanje. Wandel ook door de gezellige voormalig Joodse wijk Santa Cruz.
In Granada bevindt zich de topattractie van Zuid Spanje; het Alhambra. Kenmerken van dit ware paradijsje zijn: de paleizen, mooi afgewerkte interieurs en waterpartijen. Ook Córdoba is een bezoek meer dan waard. Een van de belangrijkste islamitische monumenten staat hier: de Mezquita (de Grote Moskee).
